Educating future generations about the importance of the conservation of the environment is achieved through the SASTS Conservation/Education Programme. Educational camps and activities are used to promote sustainability for the future and volunteers are needed in order to help with general duties at the campsite, to assist field rangers with educational programmes for school groups and youth groups visiting the camp, and to do maintenance work around the camp.
Helping with the maintenance of the grounds includes basic fieldwork, litter pick-ups, plant and animal classifications and dealing with alien vegetation. There are various outdoor building and upgrading to be done at the new camp and the projects are endorsed and supported by the World Wildlife Fund.
If you enjoy the outdoors and want to explore the indigenous beauty of South Africa whilst educating the youth, this programme is for you and your green fingers!! Apply today and enjoy the wildlife and vegetation of the motherland.
